Fremont is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fremont follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Small restaurant where you order at the window, grab a table and then pay at the end. Bolani - get the squash - the potato is good but the squash is phenomenal. We got medium sliced we could have gone higher. Also get a side of yogurt and cucumber for dipping. Qabuli Palow - the lamb shank is buried in the rice under the raisins and carrots - so tender and flavorful. The kabobs (three varieties) are fine but the above two dishes are standout good. There is parking but it can get crowded. Food worth it. The owners husband is FOH and very friendly and his wife is doing fine work in the back. First taste of Afghan food - and it’s great!

This place is proof that a restaurant doesn’t have to be flashy to be fantastic and worth a visit. Everything my friend and I ordered was phenomenal. My sense is that you cannot go wrong. The owner is incredibly friendly and very generous. He gave me three free samples of things I had never had in our experience with Afghan food. The prices were okay and the portions were great. The chicken kabobs were the juiciest I have ever had.

The food was so delicious and freshly made. I got the chicken kabob, which came with rice and vegetables β€” honestly quite plenty. My sister got the kabob trio which came with chicken, beef, and beef patty. The service was friendly, kind, and very hospitable. Very clean restaurant as well! IMO the best Afghan food in Fremont!

Met the Husband and wife and it really is like eating at someone’s home. Best I’ve had so far and even blows away many of the best Persian food I’ve had over the years. Some places are worth traveling out of your way for to eat at again and again. This is one of those places. Manana

My first try on Afghan food, but the best experience ever. Being curious about Afghan food, we just find it from Google map. Very delicious food. The Borani Banjan is a must try. IMHO, the Kabob is better than some Mediterranean food. Truly homemade. Definitely, will pay more visits regularly.
